Guests report a stark inconsistency in quality, with some praising the affordable location and friendly staff, while others document severe cleanliness failures, maintenance issues, and billing errors. Frequent complaints regarding efficiency and professionalism highlight a chaotic operational environment.
We have stayed in La Quinta Inns from coast to coast.. but this has honestly, and unfortunately been the worst experience we have had. Let's start with saying that I am not picky. If a room is clean, the food is decent, and the bedding is clean, I am happy. But that is not what happened here. We were clearly staying in a room that had not been properly cleaned. 1. There were these red synthetic hairs all over the floor. (As pictured.) 2. There was foundation, black hair, and stains all over the bedding. We requested new bedding and the new pillow sheets also were quite stained. 3. We stayed after valentines day weekend. What we found behind our curtain further grossed us out, as we realized not only was the bedding not clean, but someone had a romantic stay here and it was not cleaned properly afterwards. 4. The breakfast... We, again, have stayed in many La Quinta's. We have always had a pleasant experience. The breakfast bar was filthy, the sausage looked old and dry, and the eggs had green chunks in them along with dark old eggs mixed in like they never cleaned the tray from the day before. The same, dirty paper plate from the day before was used to hold the serving spoons for the eggs/potatoes, and had clearly not been replaced. 5. We stayed 3 nights here and never had any housekeeping, despite not ever having our do not disturb sign up and being gone all day for most of the daytime hours. To conclude this review, I was very disappointed by our stay here. I don't leave reviews often, but I feel somdthing had to be said. I had a better stay at a hotel in Africa lol.
Booking and check in was easy, I was caught off guard with how high the extra deposit fee is in case of room damage ($150). The first room I was given, somebody was already staying in there. Then they moved me to a room that smelled like weed which I addressed with front desk and assured me that it will not be taxed towards me. The housekeeping staff only took my partial trash and towels and replaced them but did not make the bed and left the bathroom trash on the counter and replaced all the other trash cans with new bags . Every time you turned the shower on the tub would fill up and it would take halfway through the shower to go back down. The breakfast isn’t the best but the basics are included. The hotel is quite busy and in a great part of Sandy Springs so would definitely recommend with how affordable the room is. You can hear your neighbors a little bit but the hotel is quiet for the most part. I wouldn’t say loved my experience, definitely enjoyed my stay.
The room was very clean and spacious, and the bathroom was spotless as well. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The location was also very convenient and centrally located to everything I needed. I expected to pay for parking, but it was a free parking lot. I would definitely stay here again in the future!
Very bad experience. The hotel was very dirty, and the housekeeping was terrible. During 5 nights, the sheets were changed only once, and both the sheets and pillows had a strong, unpleasant smell. The breakfast buffet they advertise is not worth it at all, very limited and poor quality. The staff was cold and unfriendly, with no real customer service. On top of that, there was a lot of noise in the rooms, making it impossible to rest properly. This hotel does not match what they promote. I do not recommend it at all.
I had an extremely unpleasant stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Perimeter Medical, and I would not recommend this property. First, I was charged three times for a single room, which immediately created frustration and required time and effort to address. Customer service throughout my 4 night stay was poor-front desk attendants frequently did not answer the phone even when call for service requests. The overall environment felt chaotic and unsafe at times, with customers openly arguing in the front lobby. Cleanliness was also a major issue. I encountered bedbugs which is unacceptable for any hotel. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, and the bathroom and closet doors were not flush making it very difficult to close. The room itself had multiple maintenance problems: -No hot water in the shower for the entire stay -Extremely high water pressure, which left my skin irritated after showering -Very loud AC unit, and the thermostat did not work -Microwave hot plate was missing -Shaky elevator which was uncomfortable and concerning Housekeeping was also disruptive knocking and waking me up at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast was also disappointing as well-the juice was heavily watered down which felt cheap and poorly managed. Overall, this stay was stressful, uncomfortable and far below the standards I expect from a Wyndham property. Between billing issues, cleanliness concerns, lack of responsiveness and numerous maintenance failures, this hotel needs significant improvement.
This hotel was a decent stay. It wasn’t terrible but definitely could use some improvement. As soon as we walked into the room we noticed the top cover on the bed was dirty with yellow spots on it. The fridge had hair in it, meaning it hadn’t been clean. The pillows on the bed were all different sizes. I thought that was weird lol. I loved that guest had access to the laundry room. Overall, the hotel is in a great area. Walking distance to the mall/shops.
The surfaces in the room were gross and furniture was well used. You can tell it wasn't cleaned or at the very least not cleaned well. When we went to the front, we were told they have no pillows and no sheets for the pull out couch. When we went and asked a second time, then they were given to us only because head of house keeping happened to be around. Breakfast was bland but edible. The juice was watered down, and the coffee tasted like the pots where never cleaned. It is near the city, so the location is nice. In a pinch, it works, especially if you have disinfectant wipes.
My room was spacious. This hotel is located near the mall and restaurants. It was clean inside and outside. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. The staff are helpful and friendly. I needed an iron and more towels and they happily gave me the requested items. They greeted me entering and exiting the building daily. Hotel staff are very accommodating. I requested the highest floor and a room near the end of the hallway in which they granted with a smile.
This was by far the worst hotel/motel experience we have encountered! We were first put in a room that someone was staying in! Then we were moved to another room that was half cleaned. Shower nasty with hair in it, water in the shower didn’t get hot, and it smelled! There were kids running all night along with adults loud as heck we barely slept! Like we can hear people in the other rooms no privacy at all! Only reason we stayed the full time is because we were told we would not get a refund! They need to do better!
If I can give this place 1 star I would. They don’t like children here.. My experience entirety… I made a reservation 1 week in advance for my arrival. When I walked into the lobby with my young child I wasn’t greeted by anyone. I waited in line while a VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE representative by the name of MAX who was behind the counter speak with someone who doesn’t have a room in the facility. Now, waiting while she chatted with a man my daughter tells me she had to really use the bathroom I told her to use bathroom in the lobby because we were waiting to be checked in my daughter runs to restroom next thing I know she’s running back holding herself saying mommy I need a card I really have to pee I can’t hold it. so because I see by already still standing in line (to be checked for my reservation) the representative wasn’t booking a room with the person she was speaking with so I said excuse me can I please have the keycard to the restroom for my daughter…( I honestly haven’t been in a situation like this like ever) the representative looked at me and rolled her neck and told me no she could wait that’s the problem with these guest now they think we supposed to move when they say move her words exactly I then said because she wasn’t spoken to me at all was mam I have a reservation here I’m not just the public coming in to use the restroom and my daughter is still literally holding herself because she still has to pee. Now this same representative by the name of Max say to me you don’t have a room here yet and I’m like yes I do I made a reservation a week ago I’m supposed to be here. Idk if representative finally looked at my daughter holding herself because my daughter still had to pee but then next thing I know a keycard came flying at me. I just took it gave it to my daughter because again I didn’t want her to pee on herself. While my daughter use the bathroom I’m still at the front desk and this lady is just talking mess to me and I’m just like yeah no so I sit down and call La Quinta inn & suites by Wyndham customer care and wrote a complaint on the phone while still in the lobby. After making the complaint the customer service from complaints told me to still check inn so I walk back up to the counter and Max tells me she’s refusing to accept my booking literally all because my daughter had to use the restroom and I asked for the keycard because we had yet to be checked in because max was speaking to someone who didn’t have a room in the facility. So now I’m like well they just told me to still check inn and she like I said no so I then pick the phone back up to put yet a 2nd complaint out beca I made reservations 1 week prior and paid for the stay I should have a room here so while on the phone with now the 2nd customer care complaint representative Max then calls the cops on me because I’m sitting in the lobby on the phone telling on her and she tells the Dunwoody police department yeah she’s black there always black while herself being a black woman. I seriously feel like she hates herself to say things like that especially because I only truly asked for the keycard for a child to use the restroom a child. So once I realize ok I’m on the phone with complaint on her and she’s on the phone with police I waited for the police because I felt bullied in front of my daughter. Do you guys know this lady said I was a disturbance to the property mind you all I did was ask for a keycard. So I was told by police that even tho she wasn’t property manager and only a worker on the site. Because she is the only worker on site she decided to ban me from ever coming to the property. I’m okay with that because I’ve experienced way better hotels.
