The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta N-Perimeter Mall Area receives mixed reviews, highlighting both friendly staff and significant operational issues. Recent feedback points to ongoing problems with cleanliness, pest infestations, malfunctioning facilities, and a lack of responsiveness from management. While some guests appreciate the location and breakfast, numerous reports of unacceptable conditions and inadequate service raise serious concerns about the property's overall quality.

The only positive thing about this entire experience was the front desk associate, Avi. He is kind, positive and empathetic. The room has no wifi despite being connected to wifi. The room has little flies and there was a loud sound coming into my room through the walls on the second night that began at midnight and went up till about 3:30am. I couldn’t sleep and so couldn’t have breakfast. The first day, the cleaners knocked on my door and she said she had to leave by a certain time and couldn’t wait for me to leave the room, so I left the room to convenience her. And the second morning, i got a knock on my door, and the cleaner proceeded to open my door on her accord at 10:40 am even though the check out is at 11am and after opening the door asked me what time i was leaving. Even though i had communicated to the front desk the time i would be leaving an hour before. Everyone who works here looks unhappy and over their jobs. When did it become okay to open people’s doors before 11am- asking them when they are leaving- complete violation of privacy and respect. There is a totally communication breakdown as no one knows what’s going on. It all comes back to the ownership and leadership. The people who are up top in command of this ship are doing a poor job. I wouldn’t return and do not recommend this place.

i Alvi, the front desk clerk, was amazing. He was extremely attentive and hospitable. He made every guest feel like they were valued and heard. Alvi was an incredible front man and first impression for this hotel. I appreciate his hospitality and ability to serve guests in a kind and caring manner. It was nice to meet someone confident and proud in his work and in serving others well. Thank you Alvi.

The worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed at. A completely uncomfortable and unsafe experience. When we arrived, there was a smell of gas in the lobby; the employee called the manager, but they did nothing. The next day, there was an explosion in the hotel laundry room. The hotel had to be evacuated immediately. Firefighters arrived to handle the situation. Employees told me that the smell had been present for days. It took an explosion occurring for management to finally take action. The following day, when I went to take breakfast to the room for my mother—an 85-year-old senior who, due to her age, could not make it down early enough for breakfast—an employee told me that I could not take the food to the room because the manager was watching via the security cameras and they would charge me for it. I had already paid for that breakfast, as my mother was a duly registered guest. Given these two incidents, I decided to leave the hotel immediately. I had paid for a full week, but I decided to move to the Marriott Perimeter instead—and the experience there was spectacular. Additionally, the pool looked to be in poor condition, the general atmosphere of the hotel was terrible, and parts of the bathroom were moldy. The parking it’s very unsecured. The 2 coffee machine it’s out of service. I definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away from this place if you are looking for a decent place to stay.

Overall, we had a great experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the price was significantly cheaper than other comparable locations. There is also a park within walking distance. Our hotel room had some minor cosmetic imperfections, and I wish the weekend breakfast opened before 7:00, but other than that, it was a winner.

Unpleasant experience. Bugs inside the room and flew at my face. Room had a strong odor. When using the business center, the copier/printer malfunctioned, and they even ran out of staples. When asked to speak to the manager, the front desk agent stated he was unavailable. Numerous problems. This hotel does not represent the IHG brand. Overall, it was very disappointing.

As a fellow hotelier in the area for a conference, I was very disappointed by the condition and security at this property. All of the exterior doors either did not lock or were propped open for all but the last night of my stay. There are severe maintenance and condition issues that I encountered, rusty and dust clogged air vents, the deadbolt on my door kept sticking so I couldn't get the door to my room open without a fight, there is a wind tunnel coming through the strike plate on the bathroom door in the room in which I stayed and the solution was that someone stuffed it full of tissues, the ac unit does not work because the thermostat in the room does not work, like has no display, screen is blank and was hanging from the wall. I reported this the morning of my second night as the day I arrived it was late and I just wanted to go to sleep, the issue was never addressed and I was without any heat for 4 days. I again mentioned it at check out that they may want to take care of that issue before someone else gets put into the room and the agent thanked me and asked me to leave a review... Cleanliness. The room seemed to have been cleaned, though did not smell fresh (probably due to no air circulation from the dysfunctional ac unit), hair in the bath tub, dried blood splatter on the wall by the bathroom sink, lots of dust on the headboard and lamp shades and a very large stain on the carpet as soon as you walk in. Many of the issues are above what the line level staff can resolve and need to be addressed with upper management and ownership as they are glaring issues with the physical building and show immense amount of neglect. I went out and purchased clorox wipes to clean everything in my room the morning after my arrival. What was the most disturbing find was the 8th floor ice machine, this thing has to be 15 - 20 years old which if it were properly cared for wouldn't be an issue, however the grate on the ice machine was so disgusting, it looked as though there was fecal matter smeared on it and stuck to it, if it is that disgusting on the outside I'd be willing to bet that the filters inside and the inside of it in general haven't been maintained. I brought this to the attention of one of the front desk and they said they would have it taken care of, needless to say....the same person they "sent" to fix my ac was probably the same person they "sent" to clean the ice machine. As a hospitality professional of 30+ years in the industry, this property was shameful. I've read the reviews and I can assure you that despite the copy and paste argument that you put on any review that states the condition and cleanliness of your property that you follow all of the brand standards when it comes to preventative maintenance and deep cleaning and QA standards, you aren't fooling anyone, walking through this property, there were several auto fails taking place throughout . You had a hotel full of General Manager's from other properties and the consensus was the same. Your hotel needs serious help and it wont be long until a guest makes a call to the local department of health to advise of the safety and sanitary issues going on. Do better management and ownership...do better

Great/safe location, friendly staff, clean/large rooms. Planned to stay for 1 night at first then extended to 8 nights, had a pleasant stay. Comfort of the hotel made our stay more delightful. Breakfast buffet is also sufficient. Thanks for all, highly recommended

Our room was very nice. The exercise room was clean and everything was working. I have to give Nadia a special rating . She was outstanding in getting the breakfast area full and clean. She always greets you with a smile and is so gracious. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is clearly an older building, and it shows. The carpets really need to be replaced and the elevator is small and very slow. Overall, the experience was very average at best. They do offer free breakfast and free parking, which was appreciated. The breakfast was okay, but there were no real meat options besides turkey sausage — and no one seemed to eat it, so it shouldn’t have been the only option. The warm cinnamon rolls were good, and the biscuits were as well. The room itself had several issues. The sink backed up, and the fridge didn’t work — it even melted my ice cream. The eighth floor also seemed to be where staff frequently gathered and spent time on their phones instead of tending to guest needs. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was great and the rooms were spacious and clean. But where this places really shines is the breakfast as it is really great and delicious and a great way to start the day and of course you can’t forget the customer services as everyone there working was nice and wanted to help to their best ability especially Nadia. She was in charge of breakfast when we went to eat and she made sure everything was fresh and hot and when I asked her if more eggs and potatoes could be made she was more than nice and made sure to give me a heads up when it was ready she truly made my breakfast experience even better because of her kindness and hospitality! This was by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the Atlanta area. Thank you Holiday Inn and Nadia 10/10!
