Recent reviews of the Hampton Inn Atlanta-Perimeter Center paint a mixed picture, with cleanliness and location receiving generally positive feedback, but significant concerns about staff professionalism and hotel maintenance. Recurring issues include dated rooms, unpleasant odors, and inconsistent service, alongside some positive comments about breakfast and convenience.
It is definitely evident that this is an older establishment. However, it is immaculately clean and the service was superb. I gave the location five stars although it is somewhat difficult to get on to the highway out of the parking lot. This is a fantastic deal for the money spent. Oh, and an extra was that breakfast was ready at 7:00 a.m. for no extra charge.
My stay was acceptable overall, but I wanted to document a concern regarding a front desk interaction. The room and elevator area had a noticeable old odor throughout my stay. More importantly, the front desk lady was extremely rude, dismissive, and appeared irritated during a routine interaction. I am documenting this because I do not want any misunderstandings or issues later involving my account or my wife’s account, which is the name listed on the reservation. We attempted to add my name to the reservation, but it was not successful. I am a Team Member and Diamond Member, and my wife is staying under my team member discount. During my stay, I needed to charge snacks to the room because my wife is pregnant and was unable to come downstairs. When I explained this and even offered to have the associate call my wife for verification, she rudely declined and continued to act as though I was doing something inappropriate. As someone who works at a hotel front desk and interacts with guests daily, I understand the importance of professionalism and customer service. This interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and left a very negative impression. I simply want this concern documented.
Decent hotel. Great staff, good location. Breakfast had excellent choices. It was also really nice and quiet. My only issue was with my room. Overall it seemed clean, but there was a pretty unpleasant, stale smell the whole time. Also, the hallway carpets are absolutely filthy. It did make me wonder how clean things actually are.
We only had a one night stay here. The hotel room was clean, simple room, and insulated enough to not hear neighbors. The mattresses, however, we're not comfortable. They definitely need an upgrade. Curtains did not fully close in our room, which let light in all night. Customer service was good and helpful when we had to get the right parts for our coffee machine. Frig and microwave, along with free breakfast was a win, though.
Had a very relaxing stay! The rooms are spotless, the staff is friendly, and the location is super convenient. It’s a great spot to unwind if you’re visiting the Perimeter and Sandy Spring area. I’d definitely come back!
We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago and returned with the same positive impression. The property is clean, well maintained, and located in a good neighborhood. Breakfast was regularly replenished, and the elevator was efficient and fast. The surroundings were lightly snow-covered but felt safe. Recommended for a comfortable, peaceful stay. The pool water was cold and could be improved for guest comfort. During a morning exit I encountered several intoxicated guests; one asked me to call emergency services (112), reporting he had been robbed by another guest. The front desk responded professionally — they assisted the affected guest and called the police. Overall, the hotel should address pool temperature and consider measures to enhance guest safety and monitoring, while reception’s prompt, responsible intervention was commendable.
During breakfast , coffee was out . Wife waited politely to the front desk lady to get off the phone. Wife then greeted her : “good morning , you are out of coffee”. Lady turns around without a word and enter the office in the back. Ten minutes later and still no coffee meanwhile a couple of customers attempted get coffee but none . Bathroom is not that clean . I can hear people in other rooms . Tv was not working but to be fair, we were warned at the front desk at check in and we accepted. Forget this hotel and spend your money some where else
I’ve stayed at a lot of Hiltons with no issue. Unfortunately this was by far my worst experience. My main issue was every time I needed to access my room I had to go to the front desk and request assistance because my key cards and the digital key on my phone would not work. It was apparently an issue with the battery charge on the lock. The staff was friendly and brought a portable charger to temporarily charge the lock which allowed access to my room. It wasn’t until the 3rd or 4th time that they offered to change my room. At that time there was no point in changing rooms because I was leaving in a few hours. Additionally, the elevators are extremely slow to respond and are semi questionable on if they are safe/meet code. My room also smelled like cologne and the entire property is in need of renovations/upgrades. I am a Hilton honors member and typically have no issue with my stays. This was very disappointing.
Breakfast ran out of food or had no food to serve on day one. When asked by several folks, they said the truck did not arrive with food. Day two and three also had minimal food items. Then, the rooms were not serviced even once, although the service attendants and carts were around. Stayed here a few times before but this time it was different.
DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT BOOK. Our experience at the Hampton Inn Atlanta Perimeter was absolutely unacceptable. The hotel canceled our reservation without calling or notifying us, even though we had three rooms booked for families traveling with babies. We had been on the road since 5:30 a.m., coming from New Jersey, only to arrive and be told our rooms were gone. The front desk woman was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, showing no empathy whatsoever for families with exhausted children. We were told the hotel was overbooked, and instead of handling it responsibly, they chose to cancel reservations for families with kids. There was no apology, no effort to help find alternative accommodations, and no accountability. This was incredibly stressful and disappointing after a long day of travel. This hotel clearly overbooks and then cancels rooms without warning, even for families. Poor customer service and zero professionalism. Save yourself the headache — DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT BOOK. If I can give them a -1 I will definitely do it! They DON’T EVEN DESERVE a 1
