Guests consistently praise this modern, quirky hotel for its friendly, accommodating staff, comfortable bedding, and spacious rooms. However, several recent reviews highlight operational issues regarding staff professionalism during emergencies and significant discrepancies in housekeeping standards. Some guests also reported feeling unfairly targeted by management actions.
My stay at Aloft Atlanta Perimeter Center was genuinely pleasant. The hotel has a fun, modern personality, but it’s also calm and comfortable—perfect after a long day. My room was clean and inviting, and the bed made it easy to unwind. The staff - especially Michael - were kind and attentive, which made the experience feel even better. I loved being close to everything in the Perimeter area without dealing with too much chaos. I left feeling rested and well taken care of.
Upon arrival I was greeted by a young girl working. She verified my identity, and card information I had on file for payment. She asked for a card for incidentals. I asked did it have to be the same card, and she said, no. I provided a different card, and specified “this is for incidentals only, not the full amount”, and she said okay. I also asked for a late check out, which the last time as a Marriott rewards member I was offered it for free, she told me it would be $50. I was given room 106. When entering you could clearly see sticky stains on the floor which was an indication that the room wasn’t cleaned properly. So for my comfort, I had to clean the room although I just paid almost $500 for my stay. The shower door was broken, and not repaired properly, and the paint on the toilet handle was chipping. I then noticed she didn’t charge my card on file for the stay. She charged my “incidental only” card, and when contacting the front desk, a guy told me he would only be able to refund the incidental fee even after me explaining that, that card was the card for my rent payment and it would highly inconvenience me. So instead of being able to focus on my daughter’s Cardiology Specialist appointment which I drove 9 hours for, I had to Google banks, and drive and make transfers to avoid any issues. In room 106 it’s down the hall from the pool, fitness room, bar, and lobby. We had to endure loud yelling and laughing from the bar and pool table until late hours. Out of three nights housekeeping only came once. Changed towels, and made the bed with the same sheets and covers. No sweeping, mopping, cleaning, or replenishing toilet paper. I had to go, and ask front desk for some toilet paper after midnight. He was very polite. When checking out, another man was working, and he didn’t even look up from his computer screen to greet me and not even once checking me out. All in all, they dropped the ball with this one. It’s usually my go to Hotel for my daughter specialist appointments, so much so, that I used to book through third party sites then stopped and joined Marriott rewards and booked directly through the company. I even have my family and friends booking with this location. Usually it’s clean, quiet, and safe, which is all very important to me. There is usually no issues. Maybe it’s different employees. I didn't see any of the usuals. I don't know, but unfortunately I’d have to think hard if I’d stay here again after this visit, and we’re due to come again later this month.
The service in general is good, the waitresses and reception staff are very attentive, and the hotel is beautiful and modern. However, I had an unpleasant experience last Saturday, February 28, 2026, with the receptionist on duty that afternoon. The alarms went off, and I came down from the 7th floor, where I was staying, very frightened because the fire or emergency alarms had been going off for several minutes. She was on the phone, and when she saw me, she kept making fun of me. I asked her what was happening, but she couldn't answer because she was laughing so hard, and I was scared. So I asked again why the alarms were going off. She wouldn't put down her phone; on the contrary, she started telling the person she was talking to how funny I looked coming down in a panic because of the alarms. I found it disrespectful, unprofessional, and apathetic—even offensive—to make fun of the guests. I didn't want to let this detail go unnoticed, as it's a minor inconvenience because the hotel and the other staff are extremely friendly and provide excellent service. Don't let people with that kind of behavior lower your quality standards and ratings.
Jay the front desk guy was absolutely fantastic during my stay! He was helpful, patient, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. It makes a big difference especially for my first stay here! I also want to give credit to the chef for serving great meals and to the cleaning staff for keeping everything spotless. The whole team at the Aloft by Marriott made my stay feel easy and enjoyable! Will definitely be coming again!
This is one of the favorite Alofts I have stayed at. The service and staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I am traveling with my wife and puppy and they both loved it too. Special shoutout to Jay who made us all feel very welcome during the check-in process, especially after arriving very late in the night. Cannot recommend this hotel and area enough, especially if passing through on a road-trip!
This is a nice, quirky looking hotel. Staff is super friendly. Michael at the front desk is great. Great breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Rooms are no nonsense and beds are comfortable. Clean hotel. Lobby is a great hang-out spot.
The experience here was amazing. Very clean and spacious. The staff were so kind and helpful. Especially Tierra at the front desk. She’s the sweetest. This will be my go to hotel to stay when I come in town
New favorite hotel for sure, I will be booking all of my stays here, clean, the speaker they have in the room is a vibe, the room view, clean, staff is soooo nice. Shower was nice( however that might be my only complaint like the door swang in , and the shower head would spray directly towards your face) but it’s all good definitely nothing that made me overall dislike it. Bed, sooooo comfy. I wish I took a video of the room but this was the only picture I took. And it was super cheap actually. And parking was complimentary!!!!!
Had a great one-night stay at the Aloft Perimeter Center. Ashley at the front desk was warm and personable towards us and our dog, Kojji. They provided a toy that he loved. Michael at the front desk was also warm and joyful on our way out. The room was clean and comfortable, Would definitely return when we are back in Atlanta for short and long stays.
I thought this was a nice hotel to have a sleepover for my daughter sweet 16th Birthday. I paid for Friday through Sunday. On Saturday when the evening shift got to work the one lady with a blonde fade said that she received complaints that one of my rooms had loud music (in which the hotel provides speakers in every room) and it was during the day. Keep in mind i had just left out of the room no music was being played. She barely was even at the front desk to even receive calls. She waits until her male coworker leave then proceeds to call the police on kids. My kids was laying down watching a movie when they kept getting calls from the front desk telling them they had to leave and the police was there. I proceed to go downstairs and see whats the problem i hear her telling the police she got a call and sent her male coworker upstairs to investigate he came back down and said he didnt hear anything. She said she got another call once he got back downstairs but if he went up there and didnt hear anything why was we put out on Saturday night after 11pm with kids. I have never been more embarrassed in my life and it doesn’t make sense this need to be investigated immediately! I also have plenty of videos showing we was in the pool area the gym and even sat outside just talking. Why was she the only one that received a complaint? Why was our stay cut short? Then the manager stated we could not be refunded smh worst sweet 16 ever! update still no refund and the kids that was in the room was 17,18,15& 10 also i kept checking all day everyday so to say i left them alone is insane. Management at this location is horrible!
